Planning on travel outside the USA? You will need a current passport !

The United States Postal Service will come to The Boston Globe Travel Show to accept passport applications and take passport photos:

Saturday, March 24, 2007 - 10am – 7pm
And
Sunday, March 25, 2007 – 10am – 5pm

If you are replacing your old passport, you can mail in a completed form DS-82, new passport photos and your old passport and the Passport Agency fees directly to the Passport Agency.

If this is your first passport, you need to apply in person. Fill out the application (Form DS-11) completely but DO NOT SIGN IT. That must be done and witnessed at the time you present it and the correct supporting documents.

What you need to bring with you?

Passport Application (Form DS- 11)
Proof of U.S. citizenship requires one of the following documents:
Certified U.S. Birth Certificate
Previous U.S. Passport
Certificate of Naturalization or Citizenship
Proof of Identity requires one of the following IDs:
Current valid driver’s license
Government ID
Military ID
Two identical photos- 2 X 2 inches in size

Passport Fees: Passport Agency (State Dept.) Total $67
The fees for the U.S. Department of State may be paid with a personal check.

USPS Acceptance Fee: $30

Passport Photos: $15
The USPS acceptance fee and cost of the passport photos may be paid with cash or check.

 

In a hurry?
A passport application is normally processed within five to six weeks. If you need your passport sooner, the U.S. Department of State’s expedited passport processing service costs an additional $60.00. Your passport will be processed within three business days from the date the passport agency receives your application.
