Style…With Ferdinando Argenti" Presented by
Costa Cruises
Costa, Europe’s Number One Cruise Line,
presents Italian-born Ferdinando Argenti, a
Boston-based jazz pianist, keyboardist,
vocalist, composer and arranger. Argenti,
who began playing piano at age 7, has toured
Europe and studied in the United States,
where he developed his jazz piano skills. He
has played with American and Italian jazz
greats including Chet Baker, Kenny Wheeler,
Massimo Urbani and Flavio Boltro. Argenti’s
brilliant jazz piano sound and
improvisational style are a composite of
Charlie Parker’s be-bop, Oscar Peterson’s
bop and swing, the lyrical approach of Bill
Evans and Chet Baker, and the harmonic
innovations and rhythmic feel of Herbie
Hancock and Chick Corea. Argenti's sensitive
vocal phrasing and delivery can be largely
attributed to his admiration for Frank
Sinatra and Chet Baker. |

their hands, chest and thighs, the saman
dance is a feast for the eyes and fun for
the arms. Tari Piring symbolizes the
farmers' daily activities, such as tilling,
planting, weeding and harvesting, as well as
expresses the farmers' feeling of joy and
gratitude due to the abundance of the
