to Sponsor 2010 Boston Globe Travel Show
Boston, MA, December 11, 2009 – For the fourth consecutive year, Aruba Tourism Authority has signed on as the supporting sponsor for the Boston Globe Travel Show. The Aruba Tourism Authority joins a host of other sponsors including JetBlue, Vacation Outlet and Busch Entertainment, which includes Busch Gardens, Discovery Cove, Sea World and Aquatica. All the sponsors are looking forward to showcasing their services and destinations to travelers from New England.
The Boston Globe Travel Show is one of the largest consumer-attended travel shows in the United States. In 2009, more than 17,000 consumers and 1,600 travel trade professionals attended the show, making the 2009 show the most successful to date. More than $4 million in travel was booked on the show floor in 2009, across more than 250 exhibitors.
Aruba Tourism Authority has been part of The Boston Globe Travel Show since its inception in 2005. As the supporting sponsor for the show, Aruba Tourism Authority has firsthand experience with the success of the show.

The 2010 Boston Globe Travel Show will feature a variety of pavilions showcasing travel destinations from around the world, cruise specials, adventure travel, vacation rentals, vacation planning and packages, and much more. The show also will include cultural seminars, music and dance presentations, cooking demonstrations, and an array of activities for the entire family.
The 2010 Boston Globe Travel Show will be held at the Seaport World Trade Center in Boston on February 19-21, 2010. More than just a show, The Boston Globe Travel Show is a total travel experience. The three-day event features a diverse set of travel exhibitors and suppliers, representing every segment of the travel industry and offering detailed information on trips to every region of the world. Travel experts will offer seminars and expert travel advice on the latest travel issues and trends. There will be live cultural performances, children’s activities, culinary demonstrations and much more.
In addition to The Aruba Tourism Authority as a supporting sponsor and JetBlue, Vacation Outlet and Busch Entertainment as lead sponsors, the 2010 Boston Globe Travel will have a host of additional sponsors. The Azores and TNT Vacations, New England’s oldest leisure vacation provider, have signed on as contributing sponsors. New England Gold and Silver sponsors include Omni Mount Washington Resort, The Bethel Inn Resort, Cruise Travel Outlet, and the Lakes Region Association.
Each sponsor will have exhibit space on the show floor to showcase its destination. In addition, many of the sponsors will offer cultural presentations featuring the music, arts or food of their regions. A full list of sponsor activities will be available online closer to the show opening.
The 2010 Boston Globe Travel Show will be open to the public from 5:30-9 p.m. on Friday, February 19, from 10 a.m. - 6 p.m. on Saturday, February 20, and from 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. on Sunday, February 21. Travel trade professionals are welcome throughout the weekend, with an exclusive trade-only viewing time from 3:30-5:30 p.m. Friday, February 19.
